The SAT Vocabulary Hub: A Logic-Based Approach
Strategic Mastery for Vocabulary-in-Context Questions
In the Digital SAT, Vocabulary-in-Context questions are the cornerstone of the Reading & Writing section. These questions constitute 50% of the Craft and Structure domain. This means vocabulary-specific tasks account for approximately 14% of your total score (roughly 110 out of 800 points).
Because of this weighting, the Digital SAT Blueprint treats vocabulary as a system to master rather than a list to memorize.
Phase 1: The Tier 2 Foundation
Our curriculum focuses on Tier 2 vocabulary: high-utility academic words that appear across disciplines. These 700 words were curated through a rigorous analysis of official SAT patterns.

After studying the flashcards, complete the 34 targeted quizzes designed to assess all 700 words. This ensures you have transitioned from passive recognition to active mastery.
We also recommend starting with PSAT 9 and 10 questions. Early-level practice builds the contextual skills necessary to navigate complex SAT passages. These are embedded at the bottom of the hub page.
Phase 3: Premium Reverse Engineering
Once the foundation is set, move to the premium content of the Digital SAT Blueprint. We provide:
- Over 250 Questions: Covering more than 1,000 words. We define every option—even the incorrect ones—because if the SAT uses it as a distractor, it’s a Tier 2 word you must know.
- Advanced Tier 2 Word Lists: Curated based on the most recent exam trends and thorough analysis.
